About The Ledger

Let me introduce you to The Ledger, a fine dining spot that quietly elevates the food scene in downtown Plymouth without ever feeling stiff or overdone. Located at 306 S Main St, Plymouth, MI 48170, United States, The Ledger is the kind of place you recommend when someone asks for something polished, memorable, and still easy to enjoy. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere leans upscale yet welcoming, blending thoughtful design with an energy that feels lively rather than formal. The menu focuses on comfort-driven dishes that are carefully refined, which means familiar flavors show up with creative twists and beautifully balanced plates that feel intentional rather than fussy. Small plates make it easy to share and explore, while heartier options satisfy when you’re settling in for a full dining experience that moves at your pace. Drinks are clearly taken seriously here, with a strong lineup of craft cocktails, well-chosen wines, and a solid selection of beer and spirits that pair effortlessly with the food. Coffee is also part of the experience, which adds a nice touch whether you’re lingering after dinner, easing into a conversation, or stopping in earlier for a more casual visit. Service options are flexible, so you can enjoy a relaxed dine-in evening, take advantage of outdoor seating when the weather cooperates, or grab takeaway when your schedule is tight but expectations are still high. Delivery is available too, making it easier to enjoy the restaurant’s offerings at home without losing that elevated feel. For special occasions or quieter gatherings, the private dining room adds another layer of appeal, offering a more intimate setting while keeping the same attentive service and consistent quality. The Ledger fits naturally into the rhythm of Main Street, making it feel like a destination that locals return to and visitors quickly remember.

I’ve been to The Ledger twice now, and both times were fantastic! The food is delicious, especially the appetizers — I loved every bite. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Definitely one of my favorite spots!

Such a fun place with great food! Came here for brunch one Sunday and the food was amazing. So much flavor in every dish. The loaded french toast was a table favorite! And the atmosphere is fun too - there was a DJ playing music and the decor was super fun. The waitress overheard our conversation that it was our anniversary coming up, and they gave us a beautiful wine opener set as a gift! So unexpected and thoughtful :)

A group of us got together to enjoy brunch. GREAT service and the food was pretty good. A few got the Avocado Toast, which they thought was decent but I thought the Hippie Hash was absolutely delish! I would definitely come back for that. The French Toast also looked tasty! The cappuccino was soo good, I ordered two :)

We had the five course chef’s choice with wine pairings. What a delight! I’m a bit of a foodie, and was transported to memories of similar tastings, I.e., the Bellagio’s Picasso, and Alain DuCasse in Paris. TRUST this CHEF: their cuisine is creative and inspired (anchovy powder dusting for the umami, charcoal powder for the color), and skillfully executed (best hand rubbed kale leaves ever) So knowledgeable (cava to open, a local Michigan ice wine to close). Even the setting (winter decorations with whimsical polar bears) was a treat. This is our new favorite, and I highly recommend it

We had a reservation but still ended up waiting a little over 20 minutes to get our table. However, once seated, the ambiance made up for it — very classy and well-designed. Our server was friendly and helpful, though she could’ve been a bit more attentive, especially when it came to checking in on drinks and follow-ups. Speaking of drinks — wow. The espresso martini was absolutely to die for, and honestly, the cocktail menu alone is worth the visit. The appetizers were the highlight of the night. We especially loved the Ember Tide and the Cucumber Salad — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Unfortunately, the entrees didn’t quite live up to the starters. The Prime New York Steak and Fennel Cream Pasta both fell flat for us in terms of flavor and execution. That said, we’d definitely come back again — next time for the drinks and to check out their speakeasy downstairs, which we’ve heard great things about. With a few tweaks, this place has real potential to be a five-star experience.

The Ledger is in an old bank and the environment is very different. In a good way, the food was delicious and the service was great. Although I really liked the atmosphere for a social event, my husband and I went there for our anniversary, and we would have preferred a more intimate dinning environment for an anniversary but that was just the outing we were having that night. Now if we went with friends, it would have been amazing. About the food... The pork belly appetizer was our favorite, it was such an inspired dish and so delicious. The steaks were cooked perfectly, and the green bean hash was also unique. The service was great and they were attentive without trying to move us along, and they even had an anniversary gift for us, along with a special dessert with a sparkler, and who doesn't love a sparkler in a brownie!! I highly recommend for a unique dining experience.

What can I say? One of the best dining experiences we have had this year from start to finish. You have a great view of this beautiful restaurant before you walk in. Hard to believe this used to be a coney. We were fortunate to have Thomas as our waiter. He was very welcoming and did a fantastic job explaining the menu to the four of us and highlighting his favorites. He was attentive throughout and a delight to talk to without being intrusive on our evening. We started with the G.O.A.T salad for the table which everyone really enjoyed. Our four entrees consisted of Patagonian Toothfish (two of us), Mar Andino Steelhead Trout and the Cheeseburger. The Toothfish was outstanding...buttery, melt in your mouth and flavorful. It's not a large piece of fish but but with the chickpea & kale cassoulet it was adequate. My wife said the trout was superb. It almost looked more like salmon and Thomas explained why...that it's from icy cold streams rather than lake trout. She said the preparation with the matcha apple made for a very special dish. Our other friend raved about the cheeseburger minus the egg which she didn't want on the burger. We also had sides of the truffle fries and the roasted wild mushrooms. The fries were very good and the mushrooms (I ate most of them I think) were outstanding. We also shared the carrot cake for dessert. I am not a fan of carrot cake myself but I would actually order this myself! It was that good. The cream and the caramel they use really make it an extraordinary dessert. Side note....we never had to ask for more water as our glasses were filled throughout the meal. Also enjoyed talking to the manager who stopped by to make sure we were happy. First time here and will for sure be back. This place clearly strives to do everything right and very focused on the customer. Make sure you make a reservation as I saw them turning people away without one. It was still pretty much full at 9:30 when we left. Not an inexpensive spot but worth every penny

In town on business and our first time dining at the Ledger, but it certainly will not be the last! Absolutely every dish we ordered was fantastic with an incredible attention to detail that goes into every dish! The beverages were on point, best smoked old-fashioned I’ve ever had (and I’ve had more than a few in my life)! As much as we enjoyed the food and beverage, the service was certainly as good if not even better! Great job Ryan and McCall it was so good to meet you both, we look forward to coming back and seeing you on our next trip to Michigan! The owner and Chef even stopped by the table to say hello. This restaurant is a must visit if you’re in the area! Thanks for an incredible dining experience Team Ledger!
